THANKS AND CONGRATS TO JEFF AND MIKE!

I agree Paul. Yesterday the other club I belong to hosted our annual Troops Day. I chose to fish inshore at the same time the CCFA conducted their 2nd red tourney. Three times we shared close water with the competitors and each time you could never have met better or more courteous fisherman on the water, each way back and forth. Not only has Jeff helped form a great club (I belong to also) but his attitudes and Mike's pass on to other club members and serve as role models.... I sure am hoping

remember...tide and current are NOT the same thing...point, when it says low tide is at 1400 it does NOT mean that the current will be switching at that exact time. wind plays a HUGE role in tidal currents as well depending on which way it is blowing and how hard.

This is not a report (wish it were), it is a question for Jeff. I caught up on your web site and see catches I would expect from you, but also included are mahi. How far out do you have to go and get into them? I don't mean the 40#'ers, looks like you are hitting the nice table eatin size.... Looks like if I hear the answer I am hoping for there may still be hope for me and my boat, once I am down there, learn the inlet and hit good sea and wind days.

Fishing Report - May 3rd, 2008

That sounds like a great trip! Landing 5+lb blues is fun fishing. Yeah we have a small place off of Hwy 24 going back behind the Swansboro library down on the White Oak. We will fish there but we also take the boat to the inlets and fish. We drove up to Beaufort and put in there a Taylor's Creek. We drove out to the lighthouse and had some good luck there last summer. Beautiful spot! Hopefully we'll get in to those blues and reds next trip down.
